Livi v Sevco

Post by Liviforever on Wed Nov 18, 2015 9:43 pm

Same line up against Hibs only starting Buchanan instead of Hippo.

Save Hippo and Sheerin for 2nd half subs.

I understand Burchill not wanting to lose 5-0 and playing to frustrate them but we could still do that with White and Buchanan starting, White gives us an out ball and Buchanan is quick enough to get up and support him in breaks up the pitch.

I know I'm just chucking points away in my predictions against Hibs and Sevco but can't bring myself to go for a Livi defeat, 1-1 draw FG 37 mins.

Mon the Amber Machine lets do them. bounce

I would love it if we could take a point, they have a few guys that are better than this level but it is all about what happens on the day. We should have beaten them last season during the run in but we have yet to replicate that form either by results or performance, so Saturday would be a good day to start.

That said...

Just hope there's a bit of a nasty atmosphere here, tbh. Can see us going in hard and being very well organised. I'd imagine their fans and players will be on the refs back from the off, so I'm all for telling them to fuck up.

2-0 to the Huns in a niggly game, loads of Orangemen to cry for months after the game.

Faria will no doubt pick up a booking but I don't mind that in his game, it is part of what he does to make sure we don't get bullied in midfield. Needs to calm it a bit with elbows or having a ruck off the ball though, no good to us if he gets a red card.

We'll no doubt need to carry a bit of luck as well as good defending, like we did against Hibs a few times, and be a bit more clinical in front of goals as we wont get as many chances as we normally do.

Sheerin either scores absolute net busters or he misses altogether, lest hope he can score another belter in this game.

Why is the Livi facebook promoting 'Rangers News'? Are we too scared to offend them and have decided to bend over for them? Hopefully the players don't do the same on Saturday.

Think we've a good chance of a draw if we can keep it tight at the back and frustrate them. Would need to take our chances though as I can't see us getting many.

Think they'll be up for this since they seem to be manufacturing some sort of rivalry with us, must have accepted their diddy status.

2-0 to the zombies, FG 21 mins.

Honestly, fuckin money-obsessed Hun sympathisers behind the scenes at Livingston. Giving them the AS, a fucking 'in-depth look at our visitors' in our 44-page programme and now a fucking essay on our Facebook page telling us all about our 'prodigal son' and beloved Andy Halliday. Fuck off with this c***, man. The boys clearly slagged us off and we're re-posting this Hun bile to our supporters! First time the Livi FB page has piped up in about 3 months. Fuck all to our own fans but crawling up the arse of the fucking Rangers ffs. Club should just go back to how it was in the 2nd and 3rd division seasons, looking out for Livingston and only the Livingston.

Fuck yer Old Firm and yer Edinburgh clubs and fuck all yous money-obsessed wanks. Andy Halliday can fuckin ride himself as well. Won't be this big Rangers love-in from the football club when their supporters do thousands of pounds worth of damage to the stadium and the AS. Ram yer shite website and Facebook page anaw.

Obvious that the club want to try and flog as many out as possible to the visiting 'support' but what a cringe-fest this is: Speaking to Lee Wallace about the development of Jordyn Sheerin? Why don't you actually interview Jordyn Sheerin instead? His story is more interesting than that boring twat. And once again, the self-centred group who produce the content want to go on and on and on about our supporters team. Jesus wept, go and produce your own programme for your games! Supporters who dedicated their time for this actually take the piss with stories like this and the majority of happy clapper fans who buy one don't bat an eye-lid.

This Sat BIG game, not really a big game as I doubt we'll win it and in relation to how important it is to our season it isn't anywhere near as big a game as the ones against Alloa, St Mirren and Dumbarton will be, those are the ones that will keep us in the Championship if we win them.

We're on all systems go making as much as we can out of this game from Sevco fans, if we put as much effort into attracting our own fans to games we'd maybe get more coming down.

I'm TT so it matters not to me which bars are open but to give the AS to away fans and specifically mention that it will also have hot food available is frankly a disgrace and if I was a drinker I'd be boycotting the SB this week and the AS for the rest of the season.

It's this kind of treatment that is driving folk away as it appears that the club doesn't give a monkeys for its own fans. It doesn't matter a jot that it is the unwashed govanites that are the visitors, preventing home fans from using the AS facilities is disrespectful, disheartening, disenfranchising & disgraceful and whoever made this decision should be sacked.

Well I just feel we have a real chance of causing an upset tomorrow, as you can see I have just updated the forwards stats on another post.

By reading this if we go two up top , my choice would be White and Sheerin , stats prove they are the ones with more chance of scoring , and they are two big guys who will be hard to handle tomorrow.

I think Food Creations run the AS and have leased it from the club, so it'll be down to them having away fans only in there, or at least making the decision to give it to the away fans if it's the police deciding both sets of fans aren't allowed in the same bar. Obv they'll make more out of Sevco fans, in that there will likely be far more of them using it, but it's the Livi fans using it for all the other games. So they're taking it for granted Livi fans will still use it when they're allowed to, and we're just being taken for granted by FC.

They did the same thing last season with Hearts, Sevco & Hibs games, really did irk me and esp when they invited everyone down there after our cup final win, thought that was bare faced cheek so I didn't go.

Also bugs me that I've suggested things to help promote the place and get more custom down there and they turn round and kick Livi fans to touch like this when they can make a quick buck. I kinda expect FC will bugger off next season when Sevco move up a league and only came back when they knew Sevco were going to be playing in the Championship, was a big bonus last season when Hearts and Hibs ended up playing here too. Unfortunately they don't give a shit about us Livi fans.

Yeah I know, still think they'll be off at the end of the season when Sevco get promotion, they only came back for them playing in the Championship. Obv left because they weren't making enough from Livi fans in there before that. Would be interesting to know the terms of the lease, and how long it is for.

Brilliant taking a point off them. Brilliant seeing Halliday dumped on his backside more than once lightweight Billy Not-so-big-time that he is.

If Keiron Gibbons had pace he'd be fantastic. Very good performance all round from the lads today but if they had started the first half as much in their faces as they did later in the game they might have won. As it was, the Huns goal (admittedly well worked) only happened because we didn't get a throw in, ball looked clearly out of play but they were allowed to play on.

My only gripe today was the order of the substitutions. Hippo took his goal superbly but was getting sucked into the middle leaving Longridge exposed on the left, and was clearly tired. I'd have taken him off first and I've have kept Sheerin on at that point as we were causing them problems when we went forward. By Sheerin off at that point (20 mins or so left) and leaving White up top on his own just invited them on to us to make it backs to the wall for the rest of the match. That said, we defended well and McCallum made a superb point blank save.

Pity that Raith gave up their lead though.

Gibbons was my MoTM today, superb from him, good skill on the ball and put in a great shift, outshone Oduwa, the so called star player that should've had protection from the ref in our last game against them.

Couldn't believe Burchill started with White & Sheerin up front, at long last, and it helped get us the point. Only gripe there was his substitutions, agree with what Bertie said. Taking Sheerin off and leaving White up front gave Sevco a spell of pressure on us, having Buchanan on at that point would've gave us fresh legs up with White to hit them on the break and get a 2nd goal.

I feared we were settling for the draw at that stage and couldn't see us holding out, McCallum pulled off a point blank save and they also hit the post. Thankfully we did bring Buchanan off, although we still went with one up front, taking White off. Still gave us a fresh player to chase down balls, not allowing Sevco to build from the back and forcing them to hit some long balls.

Hippo looked a bit rusty losing a lot of possession in midfield but he scored the goal so can't complain too much about him starting, think he should've been subbed for Glen though and not Sheerin, looked knackered in the second half.

Buzzing getting the draw, that's 0-3 them, 0-1 them, and 1-1, we'll beat them the next time. bounce

I've been a critic of Burchills tactics this season against the "bigger teams" and being so negative but today he got it spot on and deserves a fuck load of credit. Yes we absorbed a lot of pressure but were often very useful when breaking.
Jordy Sheerin works like an absolute bear and can tell he is getting a lot fitter. Cracking stuff from him and shagz up front.
Oh also, get it up the Hun scum, not getting it all their way and start greeting like fuck.

The usual 3 in midfield were outstanding yesterday along with the defence and goalie. Pittman's best performance this season by a mile.

This team is bubbling away very nicely even though I still don't think we've got it a hundred percent right up top. Hipployte gave the ball away a lot but he tracked well and I think with more match sharpness and confidence against poorer players, he'll start to beat players more. Great quick shot for the goal. Sheerin didn't work hard enough in the first half for me but came out and did a lot better after the break. Both need to work on their decision making a bit more but clearly have the potential to make an impact.

Truly gutsy performance from the Lions yesterday, thourouly deserved the point they got for the effort they put in.Although the referee was determined to put a dampner on the day.Where the hell did all that injury time come from, you were begining to think he had Sevco on his coupon. And as for Davie Weir, what an absolute arse he made of himself by trying to intimmidate the standside linesman for most of the second half,Embaresing.Good luck to the lads next week up in Peterhead in the cup.they are playing well at the moment so well have to be on our guard against them, but if we play the way we have been recently we should see ourselves in the next round.

Yep Weir was an arse, moaned liked feck when we accidently tripped their player and got a yellow, must've been wanting Neill to be red carded the dick. Didn't see him bothering about the chopping down of a Livi player to stop us breaking up the pitch when Holt only got a yellow, or Waghorn doing his dive to try and cheat their way to a win. Wasn't a bad tackle from Livi in that game, wouldn't say the same about Sevco though, doubt the bread man will be moaning in the papers about refs needing to protect talented Livi players. GIRUY Weir and Warburton.

Loved Afro's Hippo pic up on P&B from the infamous snapchat when he was suspended against Sevco in our last game. It now has a whole knew meaning being used after scoring a goal against them. lol!
