Engerland v Scotsland

Post by Liviforever on Fri Nov 11, 2016 8:47 pm

Bit unlucky to be 1-0 down at HT, but that's us all over, happens all the time.

England score with their only chance on our goal and we've passed up 2 or 3 decent chances, free header from a Snoddy corner and Griffiths failing to play Snoddy in on goal being the best ones. Snoddy is putting in some crcking balls from set pieces, can see us getting a goal from one in the 2nd half, game is still there for us to get something from. England aint looking anything great up front but they've obv got a goal threat when they get a sniff of our goal, so can't get sloppy in defence.

Game's a bogey now, started great and should've scored twice, then England get a 2nd goal out of the blue.

Yeah, the biggest difference last night was the quality of the finishing (Although Sterling missed the easiest chance of the night at 3-0), followed by our terrible defending of crosses, their defence looked suspect when put under pressure but when we forced errors we couldn't capitalise on them. Snoddy's delivery at set pieces was good but they usually defended them easily enough, we would go offside or their taller players would clear it.

In open play we were as good as them for most of the match.

As far as our campaign goes, we were 4th seeds for a reason and as a result there are 3 teams that are better than us. But we still have a chance of second if we win at home to Slovakia, Slovenia and Malta and if we put Lithuania in their place over there. But I don't see it happening.

Not under Strachan anyway, hopefully he'll walk himself because the SFA wont punt him.

No idea who we can bring in right enough but I just don't like Strachan and we need a change.

McLeish was doing okay when he was in charge and is available again. His reign ended when we lost that infamous late goal against Italy.
