Stranraer v Livi

Post by Bertie Bassett on Sun Jul 23, 2017 9:57 pm

So with second place being guaranteed, can we ensure we win the group by winning at Stranraer?

So far Stranraer have not been any real threat, Airdrie took 3 off them & didn't look remotely like scoring against us, so we SHOULD win this one.

I have a hunch that Stranraer will up their game for this one but I'm reluctantly (at the risk of jinxing them) going for a Livi win.

Str 0 Liv 2

FG 23 mins

In a true Bertie style post i'm going to say Airdrie only beat them after Stranraer went down to 9 men (incl their keeper being sent off) and they went 1-0 up against St Mirren before losing that game, and they'll see us as a scalp with us being top of the group.....................................nah, we'll hump them silly and stroll the game.

6-0 Livi, fg 6 mins.

Don't like it when everyone is backing Livi to win, it's a bit too positive on here.

Carrick starting up front with Mackin, good to see him back in the team after his injury against St Mirren.

Bad enough to lose a goal to that mob but it just adds insult to injury when it is a rejected Ex Livi player that scores it....

But it's 1-1 now og by Robertson

Livi win 4-2 & with it win the group; excellent start to competitive football this season when you consider Partick finished 6th in the top tier last season

Some game in Coatbridge tonight, Albion Rovers 4 Hamilton Accies 4
Each side has held the lead twice

Buchanan has scored twice for Raith at the mighty Buckie Thistle.

Partick only beat Airdrie 2-1

Was that his debut when he pinged that free kick in?

I was thinking very Dale Carrick esque given his impact when he came on against St Midden last season.

Yep and first kick of the ball too.

Aye Carrick scored in his debut too. Could be a cracking season for him, might have a 15+ goal scorer after all.
