O'Neill says O No

Post by cptn_hooch on Mon Jan 22, 2018 4:14 pm

Michael O'Neil has turned down the chance to manage Scotland...who could have seen that coming? Reagan and his cronies were the drunk guy at the bar eyeing up the girl they fancied only to watch as her boyfriend arrives to pick her up.

Time for Regan to go. Who actually employs him and has the authority to get rid of him? I'm thinking probably a committee of men in suits. Fans need to be more vocal about the likes of this and the idea of colts teams in the lower leagues. scratch

SFA is a joke. To even consider making Michael O'Neil the all time highest paid manager of the national team was ridiculous in the extreme. OK he got NI to the WC play offs but Scotland would have done the same in that group. They should have stuck with Strachan, he was getting to grips with it & with a reasonable draw (which we never seem to get) would have had as much chance as anyone else of getting the best out of the available players.

Was going to put this in the ex-Lions thread but this is probably a better place. John Hughes has been whoring himself out as much as possible to get the job, saying he'll do it for free, also has this weird thought that he's been a success anywhere he's went and people can't deny that, apparently.

Of all his weird quotes, he brags about how he's "only spent £240,000" in his career... despite paying out £500k to bring Anthony Stokes to Hibs.

Is there a more deluded man in football than Yogi?

I've all but lost interest in Scotland football team but that would def finish me if Hughes got the job. We'll have hit an all time low, what a joke Scotland is.

Can you imagine his team talk,' ye huv tae look yursel in the mirror when brushin yur teeth an tul yursel ye didny dae yur best, so git oot thur an pass thu baw aboot an show thum hoo tae play fitba' (to Bravehearts being played in the back ground)..........................
