We'll see.

Dumbarton are unlikely to do better than they have done up till now, they didn't strengthen in Jan. Livi however did, so we may get more points than that 63 average, fingers crossed. I don't think it'll be far away from that though, certainly closer than the one you worked out. Laughing

I didn't work out anything in terms of final points tally; I simply reported the maximum points the current bottom 2 can achieve & therefore what is required to stay above them. In reality we don't need that many points because we all know that neither of them will win all their games & other teams between us & them will also drop points, so if either of them did put together a great escape run, there are enough teams between us to prevent us plummeting like a brick (unless we do lose every game).

If we maintain our form I would concur that we may well finish with something like 63 points. That said we are on 39 so 24 points needed to hit 63. We have 14 games left which is max of 42. We will not win them all but 24 sounds achievable until you consider that it is the equivalent of 8 wins out of 14 matches, which sounds a bit harder than saying 24 points out of 42. On the other hand we have lost only 5 games so far so losing 6 out of 14 also sounds unrealistic. So what if we said we will win 5 draw 5 & lose 4? That would allow for a slight dip in form & give us 20 points so that we finish with 59.
