Apparently Hardie's goal wasn't offside and we should've been up 4-2, becoming a habit now that we get at least one goal chopped off in a game.

Gutting to drop 2 points after being so close to a great comeback to win but a point is still a decent result with Utd also drawing with Dunfermline. Only Morton gained out of it, but we're still 6 ahead of them with a game in hand. More concentrating on Utd just now with them having a couple of games in hand over us.

Next week will be a toughie with both Lithgow and Halkett suspended, get through that and we'll start to gain momentum again and notch up some wins.

Oh and some effort by Hardie flying back from Andorra last night and being in our squad, then coming on as a sub and getting a goal (should've been 2 goals too).

Whit aboot that Todorov fella... Could he not just have missed instead of biting the hand that used to feed? Git, never liked him lol!

Seriously though, just as our late equaliser against Morton felt great this must have hurt immensely.
Going into the game a draw would have looked good but to battle back and then be denied what seems to be a legitimate goal & then be pegged back ourselves it must have been gutting.

And kudos to Toddy for being professional & for scoring against us.
Did he celebrate the goal or not?

On twitter.

More
@NNTodorov on his old club after netting Queens’ equaliser: “I have only love for Livi because they gave me a lot and I’m very thankful to the staff, the fans and the club”.

Not enough love for you not to score against us though big fella. Laughing

I wouldn't even be offended if he celebrated his goal either, loved his commitment and the joy he showed at getting goals and results at Livi. I wish him only the best..
Besides, you can't not celebrate a last minute goal to get a draw or a win, we've had a couple of those recently so we know how it feels, this time we were on the other end of it. Still a good result after being 2-0 down.

Unfortunately that's the difference between us and St Mirren, we've both lost the same amount of games, but too many draws have killed us for challenging them to the title. It has helped get us 2nd though, which is still an unbelievable achievement.

The longer this season goes on the stronger our players are getting, just when you think they have given us an awe inspiring moment, like last minute goals to get a win or salvage a point, they go and surpass it by coming back from being 2-0 down and almost winning the game. It really is becoming difficult not to get carried away and believe we can win promotion through the play offs. One thing is for sure, it wont be from lack of effort if we don't.

All the goals: https://vimeo.com/261661468#at=2

Disallowed goal at the end was Longridge offside, difficult to tell from the footage. On watching it again it was tight when the ball was first played but it hits Hardie and looks like Longridge was ahead of the defenders by that stage, so was the correct decision. If it hadn't hit Hardie on the way through we'd prob have been onside.

I was actually hoping he did celebrate, I dislike it when players don't, I find it patronising.

Having watched the footage, he celebrated, so good on him.

The offside decision, I could be wrong but it looks to me like it went off the defender to Jacko.

Yeah as long as he didn't come over the the Livi fans and give it big licks rubbing it in then fine, like
Paul Watson did when he was at Raith acting like a dick, big Toddy has more class.

So that's why Watson is persona non grata

And yet we loved it when Ruseell ran the full length of the Dumbarton stand winding up their fans; go figure.

I have no issue at all with guys scoring & celebrating, I also have no problem with fans applauding an ex player who gave everything whilst with us or mocking/berating one that left & disrespected the club or fans.

I do get annoyed when fans berate a player & the player gives it back only for the fans to then whinge about it.

I'm not sure which category Watson's actions fall into so I prefer to remember his positive performances.

Beany was getting stick all game from the Dumbarton fans, so he gave them the big grin as he ran along in front of the stand, Watson wasn't getting any stick until he celebrated a red card being given to a Livi player right in front of our fans, and since then he's got pelters from Livi fans. Total arse of a guy.

What made it worse was Callum Elliot taking a dive and rolling around in agony to get Danny Denholm red carded, achieved his objective, and suddenly getting up and being fine as he and Watson celebrated getting Denholm sent off, and then Watson punching the air towards Livi fans who had been incensed by their behaviour. Have no idea why Watson acted like that, to run over and pat Elliot's back and celebrate a Livi player being red carded was bewildering.

Someone has put the series of still photos of Longridge and Hardie in the run up to the disallowed goal. They clearly show that the linesman flagged Hardie, not Longridge, as offside. This was incorrect as Longridge was ahead of Hardie and cut the pass back. It was reminiscent of the incident last season when Buchanan was flagged offside for scoring after intercepting a pass back. At least that day we won comfortably anyway whereas this time the incompetent linesman cost us two valuable points. Evil or Very Mad

Dunno those are stills, the feckers reactions might be that slow Hardie has the ball almost in the net before he sticks his flag up but he's flagging Longridge. If it is Hardie then he's needing sacked from ever being involved officiating a game of football again because Hardie is well behind Longridge when the ball is passed.

I'm beginning to get paranoid about how many goals we've had chopped off in recent games, that's about 5 since we played Dundee Utd, and most have been dubious decisions. Suspect

The video has the ref looking over at the Lino & pointing to where Jacko was positioned. So I think he has given it against him.

I think the video is inconclusive as to whether anyone was off, LF's scenario of the ball hitting Hardie before reaching Jacko putting the latter off is probably the best explanation of the Lino's thinking but I'm not sure if it hit Hardie or the defender....regardless, if the Lino thought it hit Hardie then he probably got it right based on his view, which is all he can do.

If he actually gave it against Hardie then he needs to give up.

In my opinion then he needs to give up because the flag should have gone up as soon as Longridge got it. I was there and he had plenty of time to get the flag up. I didn't see the ball hit Hardie or a defender. The film shows it might have but in the moment that was not obvious and I don't think it was to the lino either. Either way it was a late, late call. I think he was just an idiot much the same as the idiot at Peterhead last year.

Needing to get VAR in the SPFL. Or just more competent officials, I think the chances of either happening any time soon is as doubtful as that offside decision.

Don't think VAR would have helped, I genuinely can't tell if the ball hit Hardie or the defender before it goes towards Longridge nor can I tell if Longridge is offside when that contact is made. So VAR would probably not overturn the ruling on the pitch.

VAR works in many other sports but so far I am not impressed with what I have seen of it in football.
