Seems like Partick Thistle are now saying the game on Sunday will be all ticket.

https://twitter.com/ThistleTweet

Sunday's Premiership play-off second leg against Livingston is currently ALL-TICKET with a decision to be made later in the week about cash turnstiles in operation.

The ticket office is now open again and will remain open until 7pm this evening.

Note - this may solely refer to home supporters

That's for the Home fans, they've said that from the weekend. Away end is PaTG, and is in a stand that holds just under 3,000.

Interestingly Partick Thistle are charging their supporters between £12 and £14 for the trip tonight whereas our cost is £7.

Maybe its because its downhill to Glasga'

Yep, they've just stuck up another tweet confirming it, must've been some confusion with them saying ALL TICKET.

Not really sure what to expect from Partick tonight, if De Vita is fit then that will be a huge boost for us as I thought we looked a bit light up front once he went off on Friday.

Provided we get a result that keeps us in the tie till Sunday I’ll be happy.

I really think we can win this by a few goals, get an early goal again and keep it tight till HT then blow them away in the 2nd half. After we score a 2nd they'd be all at sea and we could go for the jugular. Their defence is supposedly soft at defending set pieces so looking forward to seeing how they handle Lithgow's throw ins.

We could easily have won our home game against Utd by 2 or 3 goals, if we get the rub of the green in front of goal this time then Partick are in for a shock.

Mon the Lions, lets do this. cheers cheers

I think we really need to win this game which will stamp our authority going forward. Archibald is making a big deal about their good run... which I think relates to two wins (one against Dundee's second string and a Hamilton that is potentially their worst team in years) two draws and a loss.

If they get anything from their visit to the vale then maybe some of them will start to believe they can do it.

Ideally I'd like to take a two goal advantage to Firhill.

Just seen Hoppy and the players on the news, and a reporter also inside the ground on our pitch. Great seeing Livi on the news and it being about something successful on the pitch, quite a while since it has all been so upbeat and positive down at Livi FC. cheers

I’d have been shocked if you thought anything else.

We could just as easily have lost by 2 or 3; Neil was the keeper making saves because of shots being on target, only 1 was a difficult save but he still had to save them. We didn’t really trouble their keeper but hit “wood” twice.

I’m definitely more nervous about tonight than any Livi game I’ve attended, ever.

Just want us to give a good account of ourselves & see where it takes us...

Couldn’t get in the West stand tonight, had to go in the South, so went up to section x for a spot of nostalgia. Brilliant from the boys again. Thought Pitman was going to score a wonder goal when he burst through from half way but he got a wonder goal anyway; superb play up our right hand side, great cross & perfect finish. Looked a good goal from Keags as well but being at the far end didn’t have a clear view of it.

Firhill for thrills on Sunday. How do we get there? I don’t care, all I know is we are on our way... or we will be on Sunday anyway.

Another superb performance and effort from our players, Mullin coming on made a good impact, he was running them ragged down that wing, then Cadden coming on against a tired Thistle player was another great substitution by Hoppy. Thought maybe Frizzell replacing Robinson could've finished them off down the centre though and got us another goal, but more than happy to be taking a goal lead to the away tie.
We'll score at least one goal there so Thistle will need 2 or 3 to have a chance. Tell you what though, I had Lithgow or Halkett down as our PoTY but if Scotty P scores another goal there should be a special award for Player of The Play Offs.

Bring it on for Sunday, canny wait.bounce

Great to see that we go into the second leg with the best advantage possible. Although we have a squad with fantastic levels of fitness and professionalism compared to other teams we've seen this season, for once this might be one game too many especially with the short recovery time. We went in for everything tonight and I think Partick had one eye on Sunday, especially in the second half. They were average at best last night but I'm expecting them to really show up now.

Please prove me wrong.

I have similar thoughts but interestingly, pundits I heard on radio on the way home & on Sportscene last night were saying both teams played pretty much as they have been all season in Partick’s Case & at least since January in our case. Also one of the reasons Thistle are in this match is the very fact they have been playing this way all season.

Alan Archibald claimed both our goals came from long throws... radio pundits were perplexed by that claim, they saw that while we had the ball at a throw in, both goals were then worked from open play, not directly from a throw in set piece.

I’m sure Thistle will throw everything at us on Sunday & if they win then I hope it’s without the assistance of the officials because they got the vast majority of unfair decisions going their way last night, and we still beat them.

I’m also sure we will get one last lung busting effort from our guys for this season & whatever the outcome we can be very proud of the team/club for a tremendous season. So whatever happens on Sunday I hope all of us give them a standing ovation when the FT whistle blows.

Can't believe we are heading into the Playoff final second leg! Wildest dreams, beyond my! Feeling nervous for Sunday!

Hope the returning plastic fans make their way to Firhill on Sunday and stick around in the future whatever division we're in!

Had a thought earlier - noticed the outrage about Dave Martindale has went away now that we're doing well! I remember calls for him to be removed from the club a season or two ago, now we chant his name at the games occasionally. I have no opinion on the guy but that observation just made me chuckle Laughing

Have to say although I thought we played well it was evident we were at the end of a long hard season. With only two more days before the next game the balance between training and rest needs to be carefully worked out.

Partick Thistle were awful; managed one shot on target the entire game and my biggest challenge is working out just how they manged to finish above Ross County; in truth the Jailenders must been really shite if they finished below this mob. Without doubt Morton would have wiped the floor with them and Falkirk to by all probability. If they go down they'll need an extensive rebuilding exercise if they're not going to go straight through the trapdoor.

It really surprises me that Penrice wasn't playing; we all know what he can do and, at the very least, he could have injected some much needed pace and inventiveness into the attack.

Their number 19 was a sneaky wee f###er. After Byrne got booked he started shoving him trying to get a reaction, presumably in order to get a second yellow, and he tried the same with Thompson after his booking. Fortunately Thomson noticed (one of the rare occasions that he did) and wagged his finger at the guy as if to show "I've got your number pal".

In all honesty if the same Thistle team turn up on Sunday with the same effort and commitment then tay've already lost; if archibald decides to spice things up by putting Penrice in then it could make a difference - however what they really need is another 9 Penrices.

Worried about Raffa being out for this one; I really think we should go to the SFA and request an emergency release for Machin or one of the young lads so that they can be played. At the moment we cant even make up a proper subs bench; surely that can be counted as an emergency.

Following the glass half empty theme; I really doubt we'll be able to hold on to Pittman; after his display in the semi's and last night his value must have gone up tenfold. Even if we quadruple his salary (which with the prize money is something we could easily do with the entire team) I still doubt whether it would be enough. I know his family are local but a footballer's career is short and he's now nearly 26 years old. Fortunately I believe he's still under contract until the end of next season.

NOTE TO HOPPY - Do yourself a favour son; and put your phone on mute/off.

Patrick knew exactly how we would play. They have been talking about it all week and yet were unable to deal with it apart from deciding to put the boot in and manhandle our players. This was glaringly aided and abetted by the incompetent Thomson. How we had two players booked before he reluctantly dealt with Devine beggars belief. We have had sweet FA from any of the whistlers in all the play off games. Have I mentioned conspiracy theories before?

What a performance from our lads. The pundits last night were running out of superlatives to describe the effort and workrate. If we do the business on Sunday they will gain legendary status with a double promotion against all the odds.

Being a Livi fan is like nothing else. Those of us who have been to the depths and suffered the sneers and contempt of Scottish football can only relish what this season has brought. It's been just brilliant!
Mon the Livi! cheers

The success on the pitch last season and this season has meant we're very quick to forget how we felt towards him when we were relegated. Regardless of what league we'll be in next season, the first sign of a worrying drop in form and questions will be asked again.

However, I'm prepared to wait until the club hopefully holds another forum in the summer and we hear of any progress off the pitch.

Archibald saying they got dragged into the long ball by us, yet we weren't playing constant long balls and started the game passing the ball around the pitch and had them pinned back into their own half the first 5 mins. From what I saw they had that tactic right from the off, long balls fired over the top for Sammon or down the channels for their wingers, had nothing to do with Livi that they played like that.
They may have concentrated too much on the physical side though, and maybe that affected their game, they were too busy elbowing and barging us to try and play football. A studs up challenge only got a yellow card too, Thomson was brutal in his officiating.

That's twice we've played them and been the better team, but their away form is awful, so maybe they'll be better at home, not really worried about them though, our away form is excellent, we score more goals away from home too and I can't see us not scoring on Sunday, hopefully we'll get the first goal and put some more pressure on them and get their fans moaning at them too, just to drive their low moral down further.

My only concern is us having enough players to finish the job, we're down to the last 15 and some of them will be carrying knocks, Miller got elbowed all night, and Longridge, Thompson and Robinson had some sore ones too. Rafa has a cruciate ligament injury so he's def out. These play offs have been brutal, I can see how the 3rd and 4th place teams run out of steam by the final, it takes a lot out of the players physically draining and having to contend with lots of knocks in a short recovery period.

We're almost there though, one final push, if anyone can do it we can, our players will give it their all.

Yes; Archibald bleated on about the long ball but their goal was a long ball wasn't it; initially I would of thought it was well planned and worked out but, having watched them for the remaining 80 minutes realise it was simply a hit and hope that, for one rare occurrence, worked out for them (although I do think Alexander should have come for it rather than relying on Lithgow.

I see there was some mention about Lee Miller may have lost a tooth after an "accidental" knee in the face?

It may be that Byrne will be suspended for our trip to Firhill; he was pretty close before his booking yesterday - unfortunately the latest list from the SFA is dated 11/5.

Yeah I noticed Alexander coming for high balls into his box after their goal though, and even came for one quite far out, so looked like he cottoned on to their tactics and was ready for the long balls into his box after that.

I blame the Championship managers for all this long ball, physical team crap, they've labelled us with it right from the off and the media have jumped on their bandwagon, now Archibald is fixated with it and was more focussed on us than his own players, it has got right into his head. Keaghan took a dull one too, getting clobbered after he made a pass, feckers were leaving a foot in all game. Obv they haven't done their homework at all or they'd know we don't give up, they can batter us senseless but we'll keep going and still run our legs off.

Oh and btw, thought Thompson was terrific, he's really stepped up his game in these play offs, and thank goodness he has, we're needing all hands to the pumps just now with the battering we're taking.
