Peterhead v Livi

Post by Smithy on Mon Sep 01, 2014 11:25 am

After the bad result against Dumbarton, I'm predicting we will bounce back and win this game 3-1 first goal in 6 mins. Just have a feeling that we suffered on Saturday a wee bit from the 120 mins mid week . I'm sure the squad will be fired up for this one to reach a semi final, even if it is the 3rd ranked cup competition in Scotland.

I'm not so optimistic as Smithy...our record at Balmoor isn't that great from my memory; I fancy another bout of extra time.

Peturheid 1 Livi 1 at 90 mins with the blue toon sneaking a 2-1 win in ET

First goal on 57 mins

I'm at a loss predicting this one, it's a difficult away draw and they've some quality players in McAllister and Millar. We did a revers against Dumbarton, having a better first half then the 2nd, as Smithy said it was prob the midweek game that contributed to us fading in the last few minutes.

Ah what the heck, 2-0 Livi. FG: 22 mins

I'm unsure how this will go. I really hope we'll win so I'll just be optimistic and say we will.

0-0. 1-0 us after extra-time.

Should be a good day out, I'm gonna get fucking melted.

Fuck knows how the game will go, one things is for certain which is it'll be a dull affair. 1-1, FG 54 mins, Livi to win on penalties.

We've all gone from 'we'll turn over Dumbarton no probs' to 'feck know how this one will go' against Peterheid after our disappointment last week. Laughing

Lets hope we stuff them good and proper so we can get back to being all optimistic when we play Alloa. bounce Laughing

Speak for yerself LF - I thought it would be tight against Dumbo but I also thought we'd sneak it!

Have no idea how Peterheid will go - as long as we win I'll be chuffed.

I'll go for us winning, 2-1. FGS 27 mins

You'd prob have been right if Kane hadn't joined them on loan again, doubt Nish or anyone else they may have brought on as a sub would've caused us as many problems second half.

Think this will be tough, Peterhead will be up for it and Rory McAllister loves a goal against us. I'll (try to) stay optimistic though and go for 2-0 Livi, FG 17 mins.

Hopefully it's nowhere near as bad as our last trip up there... a 3-0 defeat, and Robbie Winters was sent off IIRC?

1-0 Livi, FG 74 minutes.

You're spot on, Afro. Actually, looking at soccer base we have never scored at their ground as the other game that season was a 0-0.

Watching LiviLive and Mcglynn says we have an injury concern to a key player. DJ, O'Brien or Gallagher I imagine?

Sives in for the injured Gallagher. and Robertson starts instead of Mullen.

Good options from the bench today with Hippo, Mullen, Ogleby and Burchill all having pace to come on later in the game, esp if it goes to ET.

This was the level White was scoring for fun in too so expecting him to get a goal or two,

Well going by the match stats we're well on top, 66% possession, 12 shots only 1 on target to 1 shot 1 on target, and  9 corners to 2. Peterhead also committing 9 fouls and getting a card to Livi having committed no fouls.

Bottom line is no goals though and only takes them getting one chance and putting it away to knock us out.

12 shots and 1 on target is fucking dreadful, regardless of the 'domination' in the first half. So important we make this count.

Yeah I think we're in need of some shooting practice, 23 shots and only 4 on target after the 90 mins. Had some amount of corners too and didn't get a goal from them, our deliveries from set pieces aren't very good.

Another ET cup game, who'd have guessed, lol.

Me and presumably a few others predicting 0-0 haha.

Alloa and Stranraer through in the other games. Big chance of a final if we get through this one.
